Cagsawa Ruins : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cagsawa Ruins
The Cagsawa Ruins (also spelled as Kagsawa or Cagsaua) are the remnants of an 18th-century Franciscan church, the Cagsawa church. It was built in 1724. Although allegedly destroyed by the eruption of the Mayon Volcano in 1814, photographic proof demonstrated that the church remained standing well into the 20th century, ultimately destroyed by over a century of neglect. It is located in Barangay Busay, Cagsawa, in the municipality of Daraga, Albay, Philippines. The ruins, currently protected in a park overseen by the municipal government of Daraga and the National Museum of the Philippines, are one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area.()() The International Tourism Bourse, one of the world’s top travel trade shows based in Berlin, has even recognized the site as one of the places to visit in Asia.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.itb-berlin.de/en/AboutITBBerlin/ITBAtAGlance/ )〕 ==Location== The Cagsawa ruins are located from the town of Daraga and are approximately from the city of Legazpi. They are also from the Legazpi Airport and a 55-minute flight from Manila.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Cagsawa Ruins – A Legacy to the Bicolanos )〕 By bus, the location is 12 to 14 hours away from Manila.〔 It is considered symbolic of the dangers of living in close proximity with the Mayon volcano, as it is situated roughly 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) away from the volcano.
